MOMS Club® of Tega Cay

The MOMS Club of Steele Creek and the MOMS Club of Tega Cay are hosting a preschool fair at the Steele Creek branch library from 9:30-11:30am on Friday, January 8, 2010.  Parents in the Steele Creek-Tega Cay-Fort Mill area who are considering preschool for their children for the 2010/2011 school year will be able to talk with several local preschool representatives.  FREE. Five years ago, we worried this day would never come.

Yesterday, I drove to Gold Hill Elementary School and dropped my son Ryan off for his first day of kindergarten. A lot of my Mom-friends were there too, dropping off their 5-year-olds. My neighbor was even brave enough to put her big boy on the bus. I think most of us had at least a tear or two in their eyes, but what I felt was mostly a tremendous amount of joy. (Although I must admit, the joy was mixed with a little wistfulness that it just went by so astonishingly FAST. You’ll see, you moms of one little six month old baby, before you know it that tiny baby will be wearing size 1 ½ shoes and shoving you out the door of some elementary school classroom. It used to really irritate me when other moms told me that, and now that I’m on the other end I can’t stop myself from doing it.)

(Fort Mill, SC) – On Friday, January 9, 2009 from 9:30 am – 11:30 am, the MOMS® Club of Tega Cay will present its annual pre-school fair.  The fair is open to the public and will be held in the lower meeting room at the Fort Mill Library in Baxter Village.

The fair will feature over 10 local pre-schools from the Tega Cay, Fort Mill, Lake Wylie and Charlotte areas.  Continue reading »

First Quarter Community Service Project

From now until the end of September 2009 the MOMS Club® of Tega Cay will be collecting women and children’s clothing for the Pilgrim’s Inn women’s shelter, in Rock Hill, SC.  They especially need business attire and children’s clothing and shoes.  They are in desperate need of plus sizes.  Although, they will also take any other types of clothing not matter what size or type.
