Walk to Benefit Levine Children’s Center – June 4, 2010

Everyone needs to grab their kids and their strollers and hit the trails in Tega Cay. The MOMS® Club of Tega Cay will be hosting our last community service project for this quarter on Friday, June 4th, at 10 am. We are going to do an informal walk starting and ending at Trailhead Park, walking the big loop.

Our goal is to collect toys and other necessities for Levine Children’s Hospital. We are asking every family that participates bring an item on their wish list. We are trying to fill up the back of a truck with all of the supplies. If you can not bring a gift, no big deal, we still want you to participate.

The fun is not going to end with the walk. Please bring a picnic lunch and hang out for a while up at Trailhead Park. After lunch, IHOP will provide ice cream and topping for a free ice cream social. “Celebrity” Bartender Event Benefiting Local Charity – April 23, 2010

Please join the MOMS® Club of Tega Cay on Friday, April 23, 2010 from 7-10 pm at the Tega Cay Golf Club dining room and sports bar for our celebrity bartender fundraising event benefiting Tega Cay Neighbor’s Helping Neighbors (TCNHN).

All tips and donations during this event will go directly to TCNHN. TCNHN is a registered non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to helping every person within Tega Cay when there is a need after all of their resources have been utilized. Our purpose is to aid residents of Tega Cay in time of need by providing appropriate material assistance on a short-term and/or long-term emergency basis. http://www.tegacayneighbors.com/

Annual Pre-school Fair – January 8, 2010

The MOMS Club of Steele Creek and the MOMS Club of Tega Cay are hosting a preschool fair at the Steele Creek branch library from 9:30-11:30am on Friday, January 8, 2010. Parents in the Steele Creek-Tega Cay-Fort Mill area who are considering preschool for their children for the 2010/2011 school year will be able to talk with several local preschool representatives. Pre-school Fair – January 2009

(Fort Mill, SC) – On Friday, January 9, 2009 from 9:30 am – 11:30 am, the MOMS® Club of Tega Cay will present its annual pre-school fair. The fair is open to the public and will be held in the lower meeting room at the Fort Mill Library in Baxter Village.

The fair will feature over 10 local pre-schools from the Tega Cay, Fort Mill, Lake Wylie and Charlotte areas. Each school will have a representative on hand to discuss teaching philosophies as well as enrollment fees and procedures.

Confirmed pre-schools attending the fair are: Lake Wylie Lutheran, Palisades Episcopal School, Pleasant Hill Presbyterian, Good Shepherd UMC, Lakeshore Christian Fellowship, Pleasant Road Child Development, St. John’s Methodist Church, Unity Presbyterian, Fort Mill First Baptist Mom’s Morning Out, Harrison United Methodist, Ultimate Life Christian Academy and Journey Montessori. (Pre-schools are subject to change without notice.)

Directions – From I-77: Take exit 85 (Hwy. 160 West). From I-77 N turn left onto Hwy 160; from I-77 S turn right onto Hwy 160. Turn left at the traffic light into Baxter Village. Follow the traffic circle around and take the second road to get to the library. Turn right into the library’s parking lot.

Clothing Drive for Pilgrim’s Inn – Aug./Sept. 2009

First Quarter Community Service Project

From now until the end of September 2009 the MOMS Club® of Tega Cay will be collecting women and children’s clothing for the Pilgrim’s Inn women’s shelter, in Rock Hill, SC. They especially need business attire and children’s clothing and shoes. They are in desperate need of plus sizes. Although, they will also take any other types of clothing not matter what size or type.

Pilgrim’s Inn is a non-profit organization that works with homeless women and children, as well as, women in abusive situations. The services they provide are clothing, school supplies, job retraining and counseling, just to name a few. They help people get back on their feet again. www.pilgrimsinn.org
